This webinar will be conducted by Louis Sorrentino, CEO & Managing Director of AvMaSSI - Aviation & Marine Safety Solutions International and Peter White, Senior Director Audit Programs of AvMaSSI London

This session will focus on providing an understanding of aviation operations and tourism, from the expectations of the passenger, to those of the regulators and operators. A discussion of the risks and how operators mitigate and eliminate risk, and what you can do to be a more informed user of worldwide aviation resources.

Mr. Sorrentino’s broad and extensive experience in the air transportation industry enables him to consult across a wide range of areas, such as aircraft and airport operations, safety, security and quality, and civil aviation regulation and safety oversight. As an experienced aviation safety, regulatory and security practitioner, Lou has performed hundreds of operational audits of airlines, corporate flight departments, fixed and rotary wing operations, airports, airport related business (FBO/Ground Handlers/Catering/Cargo/AvSec) and civil aviation authorities.

For the past 20 years, Lou has directly managed and performed a wide array of projects covering activities such as, safety oversight inspections, security, operational safety audits, IOSA and IS-BAO/IS-BAH audits, training, certification, CAA oversight and organizational restructurings.

Before launching AvMaSSI in 2014, Lou was a senior executive with SH&E and ICF SH&E, and previously Aon Aviation, Signature Flight Support, Page Avjet and smaller flight departments.  Lou is a commercial pilot, former flight instructor, former Risk Manager and Aviation Insurance Broker

Mr. White has broad experience in the air transportation industry in organizational management, safety management systems (SMS), quality/compliance management systems, operational safety, aircraft maintenance, ground handling operations and asset management for airlines, ground handling companies, maintenance repair and overhaul companies, lessors, and the finance community. He is an experienced airline maintenance, airline ground operations and maintenance organization people manager who has well-developed motivating, communicating, multi-cultural team leading and union negotiating skills. 

Peter is one of the founding partners of Aviation and Marine Safety Solutions International (“AvMaSSI”) and has been in aviation consulting for the past 19 years (after 26 years in airline operations and general management). He is Senior Director Global Auditing Programs for AvMaSSI.  He is also an accredited IOSA Evaluator and IS-BAO/IS-BAH Auditor/Lead Auditor.
